A recently released study from the Pew Internet & American Life Project finds that 15% of teens have received  nude and/or sexually suggestive photos of peers over text messaging. The practice, known as “sexting”—the TIME-ranked top buzz word of 2009—is becoming a “relationship currency” for teens, many of whom think a suggestive picture could win them respect, security or love from a dating partner.

Youth are concerned about this issue and are speaking out. Check out hkupwithrespect’s “Let’s talk about Sexting” video on hkupwithrespect.com to see what you have to say about sexting and what we can all do to keep it in check.
