Well, so much for LIVE at the DOJ…we were prohibited from taking photos once we got into the conference room. And it turns out it’s not polite to text your twitter account when mid-conversation with top cabinet officials. But here is a great shot of all of the Start Strong participants with our new friends Attorney General Eric Holder and Education Secretary Arne Duncan.
The roundtable was a huge success! Start Strong youth Amber Johnson and Rick Rodriguez testified to the Holder and Duncan about the need for a comprehensive approach to dating violence prevention in our schools and justice system. Holder and Duncan listened carefully, asked insightful questions and stated their unequivocal commitment to promoting healthy relationships through system wide reform.
